So, Pao and I were at select from around 11 a.m. this morning. We ate pizza bar and had a good man-to-man talk. I went to smoke after, Pao followed because he saw a familiar face in a car that was being fed gasoline. While Pao was busy chatting with... alam nyo na... I smoked another stick of Marlboro Reds. I did not finish the 2nd stick, it was hot and I was feeling hungry again.
So I ditched my unfinished stick, we crossed the street, made our way to the caf... or near the caf, rather when we heard a loud boom!!! Followed by a moment of silence... Followed by... PANG PANG PANG PANG!!! It was a string loud explosive sounds. I thought it was just some ass playing the drums because it followed a steady rhythm. Then I thought, that cant be right, until we sensed panic, or gossip I can't tell anymore these days. My inquisitive instincts told me that something was not right... And boy was I correct.
We didn't actually see anything happen but there was a lot of proof that there was indeed a shootout. There was a security guard lying flat on his belly with what looked to be blood on his leg, there was also a man wearing a polo that looked like our schools uniform (which caused more commotion), then there was the gathering of hundreds of people from college students to faculty, to top management. If there was a time documents needed signing by the management, that was the best time because all of the top management people were also concerned about the safety of the students and they just wanted to be sure that no one was hurt. The Security guard was shot multiple times in the leg and the other guy was a teller for Banco De Oro, who got shot in the right side of his stomach. I saw the police carry the teller to LPDH and I heard he was operated on. The bullet hit his colon. Then there was another who got hurt, was a clerk of select. The incident happened around 11:30, I was hungry and I wanted to eat but there was so much intrigue that Pao wanted to stay and listen to what bystanders had to say. We ate lunch at around 12. They closed select after that so I had to smoke in the other side, where the annoying old lady resides (old hag). I just hope select is not closed tomorrow morning. I need to smoke too. Well, at least i still got to see some Armalite shells before I went home (I tried smoking in select but there were people fixing the store). Select was opened already at 5 p.m.
According to GMA news, there were 7 robbers who got away with Php800K (Damn, that's a lot of money). Initial reports said that cash from the gas station and the convenience store was about to be transferred to an armored van parked outside when the group of armed men struck. The gunmen arrived and fled on board their white Toyota Corolla (TAT-277) and two other motorcycles. Radio dzBB said the Corolla vehicle was later recovered along Liwanag Street in San Antonio village also in Las Piñas City. Police recovered from the scene empty slugs of an M16 rifle as well as 9-millimeter and .45-cal. pistols.
GMA news also stated that Ferdinand Lalog, radio operator at the Las Piñas Police Station, said that an investigating team headed by Senior Inspector John Sulit, is conducting manhunt operations to capture the robbers and recover the stolen money.
CATCH THOSE FUCKING BASTARDS!!!
Imagine if I finished my 2nd stick of Marlboro Reds... That would be one exhilarating experience, if I were to survive. Nyahaha!!! There was a couple of Nursing students beside us (male and female) while I was smoking. Apparently they were not able to flea the scene of the crime. Although no student got hurt, they were still in shock. And I'm guessing this will be the talk of the week. The important thing was that no one I knew got hurt and I was able to eat lunch. Oh yeah, right after that gruesome scene, we had council meeting over lunch. Cool ei? Hehehe... Well, I'll let you all know when there are more interesting stuff happens. Cya!!!
