I went with Mr. Ryu Uchida and Mr. Reuel Culalic for the holiday event.. we arrived at the venue with the most pessimistic state a lomographer can ever portray. It was noon and it was hot, there were tents and small stores... but there are hardly any people around. The event would not start for another 30minutes, so we did our best to prepare our stuff. We were relaxing on our table, Ryu and Reuel with their earphones on.. not knowing that in a few minutes, we were gonna be mad dashed by a crowd of spend-crazy lomographers. At exactly 2:00pm, We were being pummeled by the lomographers and curious newbies left and right... We were caught a bit off guard with all the people that came in but after a few minutes we were in the game. BRING IT ON, LOMOGRAPHERS!
It all started to become a script and we were like a vinyl record player, broken and repeating, "Provia films are bluish and the Sensia's are yellowish" or "The Holga with colorsplash is 3,500"
This is like a LOMO OJT and it's only essential that I start writing about the evaluations.
Ryu was a natural at SALES (no surprise there)! The ultimate LOMO seller! Surely I couldnt have sold as much of the products and managed the customers if it weren't for this guy. An
instant LOMO PRO thanks to a bulleted handout, 5-hour-market training and a girl in baby pink and green polo shirt. Haha! Do not worry, I will not rest til I found out who this girl is. That is if she becomes exceedingly active in the Lomomanila forums. You should've just asked for her number and said it was for "LOMO UPDATES" hahaha!Reuel, on the other hand, had a special and more important task... which is to fetch the essentials like food and drinks, or quickly run to the car for more lomo films and cameras. There was a moment during the hustle and bussle when Ryu and I got distracted from what we were doing and witnessed a big walking stack of lomo boxes..only to remember Reuel was actually behind carrying all of it. Hahahahah! The Pile was high enough to cover his head. He had to walk with the boxes while eyeing his path sideways. God I wish I had a photo of the precious moment. With all honestly, Ryu and I couldn't have done a better job without the extra help. So we UN-HETCH him (just for a few days) for doing all the manual labor.
